Framecast FAQ

The short answers to what people ask before their first export. Still stuck? The fastest way to know is to drop a file and watch the free preview.

Does Framecast add a watermark?

The free preview is watermarked so you can check the render before paying. The final export you download after paying $2.99 has no watermark.

What formats and aspect ratios does it export?

MP4 in three aspect ratios from a single drop: YouTube 16:9, vertical 9:16 (Shorts, TikTok, Reels) and square 1:1. Resolution goes up to 4K. See HTML to MP4 for the full breakdown.

Does my code leave my machine?

Framecast renders the HTML file you drop in and returns the MP4. Your code isn't published anywhere, and there's no account wall before you can see the result.

Is there a maximum video length?

Framecast is built for short-form animation — the social-length clips most Claude and HTML animations produce. Longer renders take proportionally longer to process; for typical Shorts/Reels/16:9 clips it's quick.

Does it work with GSAP, CSS, canvas and SVG?

Yes. Framecast runs your file in a real browser engine, so CSS animations and transitions, GSAP timelines, canvas/WebGL, and SVG motion all render frame-accurately.

How is this different from a screen recorder?

A screen recorder captures in real time and inherits dropped frames and gradient banding. Framecast advances a virtual clock and captures every frame at full quality. The full side-by-side is on Framecast vs. screen recording.

How much does it cost?

$2.99 per video, one time. No subscription — you only pay for the videos you export.

Can I export a Claude animation?

Yes — download your animation from Claude as a standalone HTML file and drop it into Framecast. The Claude animation to video guide has the step-by-step.
